Cathedral of Hope UCC announces record Thanksgiving Basket outreach
Cathedral of Hope United Church of Christ announced its most successful Thanksgiving Basket project in its history. Held on Sunday, Nov. 23, the church distributed a record number of Thanksgiving baskets to families and agencies across North Texas.
This year, 98 volunteers participated — double the number from 2024. They distributed 190 full baskets to individuals and families and 310 complete baskets to partner agencies AIDS Services of Dallas, Legacy Cares, Burnette Elementary School, Maple Lawn Elementary School, Youth in View, Three Oaks Hospice and Seagoville Youth and Family. An additional 85 baskets (minus the turkey) were given to individuals, Rev. Calvin Coit and Power of Miracles Ministry and AIDS Services of Dallas.
