Magnitude 3.5 quake jolts Contra Costa County

CLAYTON – A magnitude 3.5 earthquake jolted Contra Costa County on Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck around 3 p.m. about 4.8 miles east of Clayton, the USGS reported.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The earthquake was felt as far away as Sacramento, Santa Rosa and Palo Alto, according to the USGS.
