On Israeli TV, they advocate murdering Palestinian journalists

After the IDF committed a war crime by killing at least 20 people including five journalists at the Nasr Hospital in Khan Yunis, Zvi Yehezkeli went live on air to call for the murder Palestinian journalists in Gaza. The Arab affairs commentator, who incites murder as if it were part of the profession of journalism, called the Gazan journalists “Nukhba [Hamas commandoes] journalists” and “terrorist journalists.” This is despite the fact that they are much more journalists than he is, all because they reported on the Israeli Occupation and the famine in Gaza. Those Palestinian journalists died heroically in the performance of their journalistic duty on the battlefield. “If Israel decides to eliminate the Nukhba journalists, then it’s better late than never,” Yehezkeli welcomed the killing of the journalists, (said to be accidental by Netanyahu and Zamir), as if it were intentional. “Israel did well to eliminate them,” he declared, “and in my opinion, too late.” Yehezkeli justified the elimination of the journalists by saying that they were “providing the world with a back-to-front image.” That is, the truth about the famine and Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. He accused them of legitimising Hamas and causing damage to Israel’s image. His words implied that since Israel is losing to Hamas in the battle for the world’s hearts, the only option it has for victory in this field is to kill the “Nukhba journalists,” who serve as “the spearhead of Hamas’s military wing.” And what will happen to the Israeli journalists who report the truth about Israeli war crimes? In Gaza? What will happen to the Israeli journalists who report the truth about the horror of the famine in Gaza? What is the difference between them and the “ Hamas’ military wing’s spearhead”? What is the difference between these Israeli journalists “Nukhba journalists”? After all, the fascist Netanyahu regime and its mouthpieces like Zvi Yehezkeli say that even Israeli journalists who report the truth legitimise Hamas and cause Israel serious damage in the world’s mind. Netanyahu and his team also slander journalists, accusing them of presenting a “back-to-front image” to the world. If Israel has decided — rightly according to Yehezkeli — to execute Gazan journalists in self-defence against Hamas, how should it defend itself against Haaretz journalists, for example? Why not execute them too? Or, at the very least, silence them by using somewhat less photogenic means than a tank shell? Yehezkeli normalises a situation in which a journalist’s report that angers the Israeli regime is a pretext for murder. This is how Bin Salman got rid of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi who irritated him in 2018. Who knows, maybe now, that he has realised that the Israeli regime also shares his aversion to irritating journalists, his appetite for normalisation with that regime will increase. ■ If Israel has decided to execute Palestinian journalists in self-defence against Hamas, how should it defend itself against Haaretz journalists, for example? Why not execute them too?

After the IDF committed a war crime by killing at least 20 people including five journalists at the Nasr Hospital in Khan Yunis, Zvi Yehezkeli went live on air to call for the murder Palestinian journalists in Gaza. The Arab affairs commentator, who incites murder as if it were part of the profession of journalism, called the Gazan journalists “Nukhba [Hamas commandoes] journalists” and “terrorist journalists.” This is despite the fact that they are much more journalists than he is, all because they reported on the Israeli Occupation and the famine in Gaza.
Frontwoman Miri Michaeli, whose skills are summed up in reading from a teleprompter, brazenly stated that they are “so-called journalists.” She and Yehezkeli are busy denying the famine in Gaza and reporting lies about Israel’s atrocities in the Strip. Let them take off their shoes when talking about real journalists, who work for international media organisations with a reputation that is immeasurably greater than that of their pathetic i24 channel. “Israel did well to eliminate them,” he declared, “and in my opinion, too late.”
Yehezkeli justified the elimination of the journalists by saying that they were “providing the world with a back-to-front image.” That is, the truth about the famine and Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. He accused them of legitimising Hamas and causing damage to Israel’s image. His words implied that since Israel is losing to Hamas in the battle for the world’s hearts, the only option it has for victory in this field is to kill the “Nukhba journalists,” who serve as “the spearhead of Hamas’s military wing.”
And what will happen to the Israeli journalists who report the truth about Israeli war crimes? In Gaza? What will happen to the Israeli journalists who report the truth about the horror of the famine in Gaza? What is the difference between them and the “ Hamas’ military wing’s spearhead”? What is the difference between these Israeli journalists “Nukhba journalists”?
