Regen Routman & Nicolas Silva

November 11, 2023

There is a long-running dispute between Regen Routman and Nick Silva over how they met as students at Wesleyan University. Regen recalls bumping into each other at a party, while Nick swears they crossed paths in a laundry room. One thing’s for sure: Seven years later, they were engaged. Having lived in Nick’s native Brooklyn, New York, since graduating college, the couple considered saying “I do” in the Big Apple. “But as we were starting wedding planning, I couldn’t stop thinking about the Nasher and how unique of a space it is,” Regen remembers. “I grew up in the Nasher.” Their night-time celebration blended the bride’s Dallas roots with the groom’s NYC upbringing, as well as their mutual love of art and architecture.

Something Sweet
The couple’s wedding cake was as delicious as it was beautiful, featuring two rich flavors: amaretto with toffee crunch filling and butter fudge chocolate with mocha mousse filling.

Night at the Museum
String lights and illuminated steps lead guests from the ceremony to the disco dance party reception. “They had a very specific vision,” recalls planner Julian of Regen and Nick.
